COMBAT CHALLENGE

On September 7 & 8, 2007, firefighters and their families from across the United States and Canada descended on Konkel Park in Greenfield, Wisconsin for the Paul Davis Restoration Midwest Regional Firefighter Combat Challenge.

For years firefighters from Wisconsin and throughout North America have competed against each other in the Firefighter Combat Challenge. Though this is a spirited, friendly competition, the Combat Challenge is about physical skills and endurance as well as personal and team commitment. The event simulates the rigors of a firefighter’s duty and demonstrates the levels of fitness required to perform their daily job. ESPN has referred to the Firefighter Combat Challenge as "The Toughest Two Minutes in Sports".

The mission of the Firefighter Combat Challenge is to highlight the talents, skills and athleticism of our firefighter and rescue personnel in an exciting, entertaining and informative sports competition environment.
