North Shore Fire Department Fire Stations

Station 1
Station 1 is home to our administrative office as well as to 25 firefighters. At Station 1, we have an engine, ladder, tanker, paramedic unit, special operations trailer and a reserve engine. On a daily basis, the engine and ladder are each staffed with 3 firefighters; the med unit has 2 paramedics.

Station 2
In addition to 27 firefighters, the office for the Battalion Chief of Operations is located here, as are our Mechanic and shop. The rigs at Station 2 are an engine, a ladder, an ambulance and a reserve engine.

Station 3 Station 3 is our only station that has a pole to slide down! The firefighters' quarters are on the second floor, so the pole gets used. Station 3 has 23 firefighters, an engine, ladder and an ambulance.

Station 4 Station 4 is the smallest of our stations - and the only one with a yellow fire engine! Over 50 years old, this building is a neighborhood firehouse. There are 15 firefighters, an engine, paramedic unit, small boat and support vehicle, and ice rescue unit and a reserve ambulance at this station.

This is our newest station, completed in September 2004. In addition to the 15 firefighters housed at Station 5, the Fire Prevention Bureau offices are here. Station 5 has an engine, ambulance, tanker, rescue truck and a reserve engine. When the Fire Safety House is not in use, it is also stored here.
