[ARCHIVED] Press Release: 8907 N Park Plaza Ct

At 10:09 AM on February 5, 2022, North Shore Fire/Rescue was dispatched with the Brown Deer Police Department by the Bayside Communications Center (BCC) to a report of a subject shot at 8907 N. Park Plaza Ct in the Village of Brown Deer.

While enroute to the call, additional information resulted in the activation of the Fire/Rescue Department’s Active Assailant Response which includes additional ambulances, medical support units, incident command support, tactical emergency medical providers and rescue task forces. Rescue Task Forces are designated teams of emergency medical providers and law enforcement officers assigned to extract victims from an active scene. 

A unified command post was established at the scene. A total of seventy-two fire/rescue personnel responded to the incident. Fire/Rescue and law enforcement were also supported by the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management and Milwaukee Fire Bell on scene. American Red Cross and North Shore Health Department coordinated preparation of opening a shelter for occupants of the apartment complex at Brown Deer Elementary School. 

Fire/Rescue resources assisting North Shore Fire/Rescue at the incident and in covering additional calls for service during the incident were: 

  • Greenfield Fire Department
  • Milwaukee Fire Department
  • Wauwatosa Fire Department
  • West Allis Fire Department

Two patients were pronounced dead on scene. Two patients were transported to Froedtert Hospital. A small child was briefly in the care of Fire/Rescue and was turned over to family members on scene. 

All further information released about this incident will be coordinated by the Brown Deer Police Department.
