North Shore Fire/Rescue is accepting applications for the position of Intern Firefighter. This is an unpaid position. Intern Firefighters are expected to attend mandatory training and events as scheduled by the Department.  Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include:  High School Diploma, 18 years of age by due date of application, Certification as Wisconsin Firefighter I, Licensed as Emergency Medical Technician-Basic in the State of Wisconsin, a Valid Wisconsin Drivers License or ability to obtain one at time of appointment. We are currently not running an application process, however if you submit an application,  your information will be kept on file for the next application period.  The Department plans to tentatively evaluate applications on a quarterly basis.

Please note:  Qualified candidates must successfully pass Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT), oral interviews, background investigation, and medical examination and drug screen. 

North Shore Fire/Rescue provides fire, rescue and emergency medical services to the communities of Bayside, Brown Deer, Fox Point, Glendale, River Hills, Shorewood and Whitefish Bay.
